Of Thee I Sing (Official Recording)

Jimi spent a few hours in the studio last night recording his newest song. A slight name change from the previously released home video of the song (posted below), it is now titled Of Thee I Sing (today atleast…LOL). Give it a listen using the play bar below.

Huge THANKS to Dave Cook at Area 52 Studios for having Jimi out to the studio to lay it down!

Catch Payne’s Grey Sky Thursday, 2/9 at Keegan Ales (7pm) and Saturday, 2/11 at Uncle Willy’s (8pm), both in Kingston, NY.

What a weekend!!

What an incredible weekend of music!! The Hudson River Craft Beer Fest was amazing. We had a great set and got to listen to some other fantastic local music…Breakfast for the Boys, The 20160918_1156141Other Brothers and The Grape and the Grain all killed it!!

We wrapped the weekend up playing some tunes on Sunday at the 2016 Bike for Cancer Care event that had a spectacular day, raising over $135,000. Their best single event to date!! Let’s help them hit that goal of $150,000 next year!

Saturday night, 9/24, PGS will be back at Black Star Social (formerly Bread & Bottle) in Red Hook for a 3 hour set from 7-10pm. Stop on out for some dinner and drinks!

On tap!

This Saturday, 9/17, Payne’s Grey Sky will be performing at the Hudson River Craft Beer Festival held at Riverfront Park in Beacon, NY. If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, there is still time! Also providing some musical enjoyment will be The Other Brothers, The Grape and the Grain and Breakfast for the Boys. Tasty craft brews, some fine local entertainment and a view that is simply amazing…sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday!!

On Sunday, PGS will be back playing at the annual Bike for Cancer Care Fundraiser at Dietz Stadium. Music will start around 11:30am. It’s not too late to sign up and help raise money for a great cause that supports local families that are facing financial struggles as they receive cancer treatment. Don’t have a bike? Join in the inaugural 5K run/walk. Don’t wanna bike, run or walk…please make a donation!! All money stays right here in Ulster County!

We also want to extend a big THANK YOU to Eli and all the staff from the Clearwater for having us perform at Clearwater Family Day this past Saturday. It was a beautiful day and we were happy to be a part of it.

Family Time

Life requires balance. In maintaining that balance, PGS will be taking some time off in August for vacations and family time. We look forward to seeing you again in September. We have a couple great opportunities to give back to the community coming up. On September 10th, we have been asked to perform as part of the Clearwater’s Family Day at Esopus Meadows in Ulster Park and on September 18th we will be back performing at the Bike for Cancer Care at Dietz Stadium. We hope to see you at one (or both) of those events. Keep an eye on our calendar page for additional shows as well.
